Our group focuses on new and existing users of AWS (Amazon Web Services) in the greater Charlotte, NC area. We work closely with the Charlotte Cloud Computing Meetup. All AWS Cloudheads are welcome to share and teach and, wannabe cloudheads, are welcome to ask any questions they like until they become fully "bona fide" cloudheads themselves. Designing, developing and supporting applications for "the cloud" presents different challenges than on dedicated or VPS environments. The mission of CLT Cloud is to facilitate conversation amongst developers, system administrators and technologists involved in applications that run in cloud environments like Amazon AWS and Heroku. Anyone interesting in cloud computing should join, regardless of experience level or technologies of interest. This group is language and technology agnostic.
This group is a place for developers to learn more about the non-relational, open source, document-oriented database MongoDB. MongoDB is the leading NoSQL database and many of the key committers are based right here in New York City. So if you are facing challenges with MySQL or Postgres or Oracle and want to explore a more flexible, scalable alternative, please join us at one of our monthly sessions.
